The key functions of the Synod’s Information Technology Services unit are to:

• Develop and implement strategies for delivering efficient and reliable technology services to the Synod and Uniting Aged Care
  
  
• Maintain the IT infrastructure necessary to support the activities of the Synod and Uniting Aged Care, including the provision of appropriate contingencies to enable continued operations
  
  
• Provide advisory services to the Senior Leadership Team and Work Unit managers
  
  
• Provide technical support to Work Units at the Synod centre, Uniting Aged Care, the Centre for Theology and Ministry, the Tasmanian office, Narana, the Presbytery Offices and other remote locations, as well as to members of the Uniting Church community
